I have been waiting eagerly for this since I finished Come up Undone (the first in the Blackness Halo series which you really should read first) and it's been more than worth the await.Dani is now on tour with her red hot lover stone star Xane and his band. And it's not plain sailing. Dealing with her past and the impact that has had on her ability to trust is difficult enough, simply someone seems hell bent on destabilising the band, which is already extremely fragile post-obit the demise of one of its members.
There is plenty of scorching love activeness in this book, and it isn't for the prudish. It is however, very well written and together with the descriptive details that we get near all the band members, it builds to a very real feeling of being on the route.
If I like a character I desire to know everything about them, and Madelynne has written this detail book generally from the point of view of Xane and Dani, giving us glimpses of the others that I am assured will exist expanded on in further books. It definitely makes me desire to read more than!
In summary, I think you could probably enjoy this as a stand alone story but for the full benefit y'all should treat yourself to the others in the Black Halo serial and settle down for a long happy reading session.

Wow simply wow! I am in consummate love with Madelynne and this serial. This book was merely as practiced as the outset if non meliorate. Xane and Dani are admittedly astonishing characters who I tin can't get plenty of. Xane is so raw and gritty I can never accept plenty of that man. Dani is extremely lovable and every quirk she might have comes across and just her being her she doesn't become on my nerves ever. Which I take to say very rarely happens with female characters lol. Wow just wow! I am in complete love with Madelynne and this serial. This volume was just as good every bit the start if not better. Xane and Dani are absolutely amazing characters who I can't get enough of. Xane is and so raw and gritty I can never have plenty of that man. Dani is extremely lovable and every quirk she might have comes across and just her beingness her she doesn't get on my nerves ever. Which I take to say very rarely happens with female characters lol. All in all this series is the freaking bomb and I can't wait for the adjacent book.

I loved Rock Difficult, and so was really pleased to review this sequel. Dani – I really felt for her, she'd had a horrific childhood and teenage years, and the partnership of her and Xane seems so unlikely. Withal it works, they honey each other and Xane can't seem to keep his easily off her. She'south all the same struggling though with coping with his sexual practice addicted past, when he used sex with men and women, as a crutch to help him cope. Dani had been brought upwardly in an extreme religious female group where sex was classed as incorrect, and even thoughts of it punished cruelly. She'due south been abased past her mum now, and has no-1 except Xane and her long fourth dimension support and friend Ginny. Dani and Zane are like an isle amidst a sea of others, clutching to each other to survive. Xane is yet struggling with the loss of his lover, band fellow member Steve. ( that's a whole other story too...typical convoluted rock band mixings). the original thought was to use tapes to supercede Steve simply its clear that won't work and they bring in another drummer for the bout.
Its a really fun read, full of steamy sex, jealous fans, and band squabbles. The bout seems fraught with mishaps and dangers and information technology looks similar in that location may exist someone out to sabotage it – but who is the danger really aimed at. Dani gets some graphic photos showing Xane with a male lover and the message she won't be able to keep him, and added to that she's seen the way he looks at new back up roadie Luthor...he'southward seriously hot, and tells Dani he fancies Xane and her too. Somehow they become unlikely friends, though she's never sure if Xane will have him upwards on his flirting...he tells her she's enough but with his groundwork she's worried. Xane too is worried – he hasn't told Dani something from his past that could come dorsum to haunt him, its friction, secrets, danger and threats all the mode.
I'd guessed who was behind things but not why, and the finale came as a surprise, with things I didn't expect. The style information technology plays out and ends reminds very much of Olivia Cunnings Sinners books, the one centred effectually band member Trey...and has the aforementioned steamy, sexy feel to it. I like the way we follow the band on the tour – I've read too many "band" or "film" books where the characters are that in name only, and nosotros never go near a studio or bout, or a film ready...if its that world I desire to experience I'm In it with them, non merely see information technology referred to in passing.
I'm hoping nosotros come across more of Ash and Ginny too in later books – they've been side characters in all books so far, and fit well into the story.

This book is extremely steamy and is bound to melt your panties. The characters are fabulously written, each with their own hangups. The dialogue flows well and feels natural. There is a bit a suspense involved in this book that will keep you lot hooked into the story as information technology unfolds.
The ending of this volume was a chip of a cliffhanger, while still giving you enough to hold yous over until the next book is released. I am anxiously awaiting the next book in the serial.

This is an engaging erotic story that volition keep you wanting more. I really really wish I had read the starting time story in this series, merely it did not deter me from liking this story. I but know from reviews and reading that Xane and Dani were introduced and then and I would accept liked to have known that background. SO I recommend yous read it before you read Come Together. I enjoyed this so much that I sidelined another book for it. Band, Black Halo, have reunited for a your in tribute to their late drummer. Lead singer, Xane, has taken his girlfriend along, just someone is determined to crusade problems for them and the band. The unmasking of the troublemaker is not as deftly handled as the potential honey triangle, just all-in-all, a successful story.
A great read.
Can't wait for the next in the serial.

Dani has issues with her torso; she has insecurities brought about past her upbringing and her ultimate fear has been realized. No one really prepare out to injure her, the author clearly wrote that Zane really tried very hard at resisting Luthor but like I mentioned, he really was attracted to him, and he's offering freely.
Luthor is some other matter, others might think of him every bit a dwelling house-wrecker but he knows his place and he tin't aid whom he desires. He genuinely cares for both Zane and Dani, the latter he became friends with throughout the tour, and he didn't pretend around her. There was a scene though that triggered Dani's reaction and no excuses, it'south really Luthor's error.

Dani knows that Xane has had relationships with men before, just she is terrified that he will soon tire of her and go back to a human being. If y'all haven't read the first volume, a reader might assume that Dani is homophobic, just she's not. Her father left her mother for a man, and then filled Dani's head with how evil men are, and how they only desire one thing.
Dani needs to overcome her upbringing and figure out if at that place is a identify for her, Xane, and another man in their lives, or if she should but cut her losses and move on to someone else.
I take to say, I was eagerly anticipating this follow up to Rock Difficult, but I felt equally if the writer was dragging out a story that could have been a lot shorter. While this can be read as a stand alone, information technology does help to have read the offset book, if only for the background information on the characters, and why they act the way they do. I did not have the opportunity to read the outset book in this series, so the review is strictly from reading this: I was pretty lost in the volume. I don't have a expert agreement HOW Dani and Xane came about, have no idea about the power plays they've experienced, and it was but plain difficult to get into the groove of the volume. The story starts out with Xane and another guy having sex. Personally, that doesn't carp me, just not reading the first book and non knowing the dynamics of the characters, information technology was a surprise. Honestly, the best function of the story was the sexual practice! Information technology appears that at some point, many of the band members, made their rounds with 1 another. The kickoff half of the book was skim-able, but did go more than interesting towards chapter 30. It was likewise difficult to 'pic' the characters: Dani, I accept no idea what she looks like, other than brown eyes and scars (and not sure exactly how they came well-nigh), kind of can picture Xane and the other band mates, but there was pieces of the story that could have been revisited to make this book easier to read. As well much history was left out to become fully captivated in this story.

Luthor had a fling with Xane several years in the past & he wants to re-kindle the flame & he's also extremely attracted to Dani. Xane wants to stay faithful to Dani, but he wants Luthor as well. Dani knows Xane is bisexual and she knows her hang-ups nearly sexual practice & homosexuality could cause her to lose Xane if she doesn't work them out.
My Thoughts
I really, actually had my doubts that this could work out well. It looked like information technology was going to become down in a fiery ball of flames. But Ms. Ellis is a genius and she pulled information technology off in a very satisfactory manner. I'm quite looking forwards to the side by side installment in this series.
